Your reminders never leave your phone. The ad is the only thing that gathers anything, and it is Google's.

The short version: this site collects nothing about you, your reminders never leave your phone, and the only thing that gathers anything is the ad, which is Google's and which you can pay to remove.

This website

This website is a set of static files. There are no cookies, no analytics, no tracking pixels and no forms. Nothing you do here is recorded by us, because there is nothing here to record it with.

One thing does come from another address: the launcher in the top corner that lists Lightmorphic's other apps. It is served from apps.lightmorphic.com, which is ours. It sets no cookies, stores nothing in your browser, and sends nothing back. Loading it does mean that server receives your IP address and browser details, the same as any request for a file.

The site is hosted on GitHub Pages. Like any web host, GitHub receives your IP address and browser details in its own server logs in order to deliver the page. We do not see those logs and cannot connect them to anyone. That processing is GitHub's, under its own privacy statement.

The app

CHKT stores your reminders in the app's own private storage on your phone. There is no account, no sign-up and no server of ours anywhere. We never receive your reminders, and there is no copy of them for us to hand over, lose or be asked for.

The app makes three kinds of outbound connection:

  • Advertising. CHKT is free and shows one banner at the foot of the reminder list. The ads come from Google AdMob, which receives your device's advertising ID, approximate location derived from your IP address, and general device information, and uses them to choose what to show. That is Google's processing under its own privacy policy, and we neither see nor keep any of it. Paying to remove the banner stops these requests.
  • A calendar you connect. Only if you set one up. CHKT talks to that calendar service using the address and app password you enter. That is between you and your calendar provider.
  • Google Play, to check whether you have paid to remove the ad. Play answers yes or no. We store nothing about it on the phone or anywhere else.

You can reset or delete the advertising ID at any time in Android's own settings, under Privacy, Ads. Doing so does not affect anything else in CHKT.

The microphone is used only while you hold the record widget, and the audio is handled by the speech recogniser already installed on your phone. It is never sent to us. Location, if you set a place reminder, is used by Android on the device and is never sent to us either.

Your rights

We hold no personal data about you ourselves, so there is nothing on our side to show you, correct or delete. The advertising ID sits with Google rather than with us, and Android's settings are where you reset or delete it.
